Assemble the shoes with one spring in both ends and the other spring in the top hole only. Pass shoes over hub. Use brake shoe hook or length of strong string and pull remaining end of second spring into place on shoe.
Using 8mm x 50mm bolt with slot cut in end engage cross hair in outer end of retaining spring and pass it through large hole in hub and slot in shoe. Engage hook end in backplate and push to compress spring and twist bolt through 90 degrees to lock spring. Works for me... ![]() ![]() .
