Possible Cheap W202 C230K Sport

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

With less than a hour left and still at the starting bid could be a nice buy.

Lost my bottle in the end. Not sure about all this Kompressor malarky. If it pops back up Ill be on it tho. Miss my 202 and looking hard for a good 2.0.... Found my 1.8 adequate but no ball of fire. Sold it to Mikeoldschool on this forum as he was wanting back to a Mercedes after sometime without. Probably missed a good one there, ho hum. Thanks for the tip.

Kompressors are great cars, I've had two now and my OH has just bought another after driving mine! Buy one, you will not regret it.

Not overly keen on the colour of that one though, and needs a bit of bodywork!

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Anyone who unloves their car so much they would drive around with an un-painted wing wouldn't give a dman about the rest of the car.

I bet anything that car would be a money pit.

Kompressors RULE mate.

My 1999 C230k Sport has done a trip to town under 160,000 miles as of today and still drives incredibly well. It has been well looked after and has FSH. The interior looks like a 40k car. The outside is in need of £500 for a full repaint (I dont get bits and bobs done) because of rust but I love the car.

Will be pained to sell her when she is finished but once painted I will be looking at £2350 which I dont think is bad considering how rare they are and that the body will be as new.

Still, she aint going up for sale until I have bought a replacement ready.

I would have thought anything £1000+ for that car is unreasonable.
And generally any merc saloon (C + E Class mainly) over 10 years old with over 100k are around this mark anyway.
Am i right in saying that?!

Any decent W202 facelift should go for around 2k+ Id say.

W202s have held their values better than W210s

Agreed, I sold my R-Plated C200 Elegance auto last year for £3495.

It was ruby red metallic, oatmeal cloth, cruise, air, 89k with FSH, very, very, very clean & tidy, unmarked alloys, all original mats, books, radio & 1st aid kit.

If it is a facelift with decent SH and in decent nick it will make decent money.

Early 202's still make decent money down the block, there was an m-plated 200 Elegance done 102k that needed £200 of paint that made £750 on monday.

I would say so.

A mint W202 around 10 years old is worth a grand, scabby ones £500 or less.

There's no great shortage of them.

There's a great shortage of looked after ones however, and thats where the price difference kicks in.

Dont forget the CLK is exactly the same platform as the C-class, with cheaper interior build quality. So if the same logic was applied to CLK's, they would also be £1k.

I'm surprised that C230K sold for that much, it looked very tatty.

Is there any differance build quality wise?

Coupes are always worth more than saloons, you only have to look at W124CEs compared with W124 saloons as an example....

Just don't mention the rear ash-tray on the 208. The designer of that must've been working his notice!
