Mint 300 E-24, 1992 with only 49000 miles

Beautiful car but if you were spending that much wouldn't you have got full leather?

Thats an amazing example of a low milliage mint W124, Even though it dont have full leather it has a fair high spec with electric memory seats, electric rear blind, AC and storage cubby under the arm rest.

Buy that car, cherish it, drive it, do whatever needs doing when it needs doing.... will easily last the next 10 years.... then the 5 bags will start to seem like a bit of a bargain...

I like it too, prefer the cloth interior to the leather but shame it doesnt have cruise or a 5spd autobox, still if i had the money i would buy it.

I can find something wrong with anything:

all the external badges and fitments are correct
Not true - the dash between the "E" and the "24" is missing from the boot lid. Should enable you to knock £2.23 off the price...

Other than that, not too shabby...

I saw that also but wasn't sure.

I didn't fancy going outside to check my badge!

Did the owner want leather seats if driving it to Spain and back?; can get a bit hot and sweaty on the old cow hide. Beautiful condition though and someone could get a lot of motoring out of it before they needed to buy another

Good point.

Didn't think about it like that.

Beware clean, shiny low mileage W124s, all that glitters to start with can soon require lots of squishy, perishable bits replacing......

Not at all

Same colour as mine, almost the same mileage I bought mine at and from the pics pretty similar condition as when I bought mine. I got leather, 5spd and a full MBSH but no memory seats and my engine bay had not been cleaned to the same level .. Even the overmats have faded to the same colour as mine..

Don't think the wheels are OE, I think 15 holes alloys would have been the option available in 92...

Very well presented car nonetheless, my point was at that mileage its probably on original 16 year old brakes, cylinder head gasket, ATF, serpentine belt and tensioner etc. etc. (as was mine, with predictable results )

Caveat Emptor and all that.

Oh and mine was a bit cheaper and its a CE

Wise words. This car has spent all its life on the tiny island of Jersey, where a return journey of more than 20 miles is a physical impossibility.

This car has almost certainly had a lifetime of very short journeys and the engine oil will never have been fully warmed up. Plus, as you say, the very salty atmosphere won't have helped the squishy, rubbery parts one little bit.
