The front bumper's quite badly damaged. I'll have to get it off the car and see if it can be repaired. I've had a quick look under the car and it seems quite solid, mostly due to the massive oil leak from the head gasket.
I'm toying with the idea of putting the 3.6 engine and box in and selling it whole. |

if your breaking it i need the rear bumper as its blue black like mine and when i had the AMG bumper from the coupe put on the convertible the **** did not check the clearance between the exhaust and the bumper ... now my bumper has a 8" melted section!
need a fog light too |

I'm too busy this weekend but maybe the middle of next week I'll have all the bodykit off so I can see the extent of the rust. My inclination is to drop my 3.6 engine and box in and respray it. It could be a great car, depending on how rusty it is. It just looks so nice...with the right set of wheels....mmm...

Right, the kit is off and the chassis doesn't look too bad, rust wise. Three jacking points just have surface rust and one holed after a prod with a screwdriver. The biggest problem was under the washer bottle. This was the result after the screwdriver treatment
![]() ![]() The front bumper is not so bad. I think once the old filler and fibreglass is removed a good repair should be possible. One foglamp has broken glass though. ![]() ![]() So, the decision is made. The rust will all be sorted, it'll be fully resprayed and the 3.6 AMG engine and box is going in.
