Go to www.adslguide.org and you will find a speed tester.

It's amongst the links on left hand side.

Doesn't your ISP have a speed test on their own website ?The upload speed will probably still be 256k.

woah ... thanks for speedy replies. I got a result of 1784 down & 218 up.

just needed to know if the isp did what they said they would and it seems they have.
