Original Paintings
Has anyone any experience of how best to sell these paintings, does anyone on here own a gallery or gift shop, is anyone on here interested in one? Any ideas, comments help greatfully received as she is feeling a bit let down by her experience of the art world so far. Any advice welcome. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

First reaction was to sell the top 2 to your local Citroen and Audi dealers.
Then I tried to be sensible. Quite hard. But I tried. What's to stop you putting on your own exhibition? Get a local hotel to display them for a few weeks in their foyer? If you bought your MB from a main dealer, get the dealer to exhibit them on one of their open evenings. If a % goes to a popular local charity you might find the hotel/dealership/whatever quite receptive, and the local paper will love a feature "local artist raises money for hospice" or whatever. Ebay? "art originals" Must stop being sensible now... my head is starting to hurt.

Just to add they look very good and I really quite like a few of them. Sadly not interested, but nice work.

Looks good Greg,
I think this one is very striking: ![]() Good luck to her, I think we've all seen 'worse' artwork by some very famous people! Will |

The multi ones are 3 pictures each of about 8 inches squares, the biggest one is 30x24 inches. All of her pictures are canvases ie can't be rolled up but I guess she can parcel them up for postage. The prices were all under £50 dependent on size.

Thanks for everyones ideas and input. There are several bits of progress to report! Firstly we were talking to another possible retailer who may well be interested and they also referred us to a gallery which our council is opening to help local artists. This might give her two possible outlets.
Free P&P also now included. Last edited by R2D2; 30-05-2009 at 05:07 PM. |

Suzy Cute and I have just taken delivery of 2 paintings from Emma/Greg. I really would urge people to snap up whatever are left as they are very, very good at a keen price. And who knows - one day they may even appreciate! Maybe a farcical comparison but many artists that now sell for enormous sums of money once gave paintings in exchange for a meal!
