Clapton & Winwood On BBC4 now
Anyone any ideas if they are touring in UK. Seen Eric many times but Mr Winwood and EC together would be good to see live.
Noted also that Ry Cooder is playing Edinburgh Festival - now there is a guitarist....... See him if you can.

Couple of strats, Gibson 335, Aria 335 custom, Schecter custom - plus a David Gimour custom shop signature strat as my most recent addition (hope Mrs E doesn't find the receipt
).Have the Clapton / Winwood concert recorded on Sky+ so I'm looking forward to seeing that. |

Personally, I cant wait until Top Topham performs next in London.
I think he only did one concert in 2008 and I missed that. Last edited by verytalldave; 05-05-2009 at 11:12 AM. |

Following on from the original post found a gem on Blues on Later -- with Jools Holland on Iplayer BBC 4 about 11 minutes into the program Jimmie Vaughan ( Older brother of the late great Stevie Ray ) playing BOOM PAPA BOOM Its not perfect by any means but with its raw energy its the best definition of R AND B I have heard in a long time. BBC iPlayer - Blues on Later...with Jools Holland

Unfortunately no, but I was just listening to Weather Report! What an untimely and unpleasant end for him.
Without wanting to sound like too much of an old git, I actually went to the Blind Faith gig at Hyde Park, and have recently bought the dvd (haven't found myself yet ). As an aspiring drummer, I was a big Ginger Baker fan and I was a young, naive teenager at the time. It was an awesome event, but I was startled by and concerned about someone who fell out of a tree that I was stood by. Purple hearts were the drugs of the day, and everyone laughed when I asked if he would be okay!
