Toilet seat advice

I've been meaning to ask for a long time.

We have an Egg/pod style toilet in our main bathroom. The plastic seat has gone a really off white colour (see pic). It's only ever been cleaned with heavily diluted
Bathroom cleaner so not sure why it's gone this colour.

I've tried many times to source a replacement but so many differing shapes and sizes it's an impossibility.

The seat is a good quality one, really sturdy and soft closing. Can anyone advise of a solution to bring it back to life?

Plastic paint?
Powder coating?
Body shop spray paint of some kind?
Other?

Whatever I try it needs to work because I think I'll only get one chance at this. I don't want whatever I put on it to start flaking/pealing in the future as that will look worse than it is now.

TIA

ANT.

Change it's colour to one that matches other stuff in the bathroom - make it a feature rather than a mismatch.

There are lots of specialist paints that will adhere.

That's probably the cleanest reply you'll get on here about a bog seat.

Yes John, it did cross my mind. I'm thinking the usual suspects here will have a few punchlines ready.

I agree, I'm not necessarily wanting it white again. But I was more asking for advise on the best route to go regarding paint (DIY or body shop) etc etc.

Good idea. I'll try the underside of the seat as it's also gone the same.

My bath side panel did that.
My solution was to sell the house.

They can't help themselves - but try not to get too bogged down as it's not good for your sanitary...

Wrapping the crapper might be a good one

PVC cleaner might work, brought my porch up a treat, T-Cut might also work, worth a try anyway Pal

After you try T-Cut on the underside of the seat let us know if you are flushed with success.
