Carpet cleaning
We need to get the carpets in our house deep cleaned, can anyone recommend a company that covers the E11 area of London. There are loads of companies around that you find when you google, but I would rather go with a recommendation, as many of the companies that you find on google don't review too well. Thanks Tan |

If you don't mind doing it yourself I recommend hiring the rug doctor. I have used it myself and I've been really impressed with the results.
You can hire it from B&Q or large tesco stores |

Can't recommend but can help you make the right choice. There are so many dodgy lads who think they can do the job but have no idea.
A professional carpet cleaner should vacuum the carpet thoroughly first and then per spray the carpet and brush to agitate the soiled areas then they should attack the stains and then deep steam clean (with a powerful twin vac machine) using hot water and ideally prochem chemicals, for this he should not charge less than £15 per room and no more than £30. When phoning a simple question of what's included in the price will tell you if they are professional or not, let me knw if you need more info |

Rip them all out and skip them. lay wood or laminate floors. Did this in my house when our daughter developed asthma. Brilliant. Easy to keep clean, no latent food smells and instant improvement in daughters health. |

Agghhhh laminate swear word for me, a good vacuum daily and a few shoe rules will keep carpets decent, can't beat carpet for warmth in bedrooms and a must for stairs but I can see the benefits for hallways and living rooms. just finishing my cinema room project and big piled carpet gone in.
