My mother makes the best fish and chips AND it's free.

Plus there's free beer in the fridge.

Im from the south my wifes from the north we both enjoy the proper beef dripping version - but it is an acquired taste for us southerners

price difference is shocking too

im rather partial to "bits on " and never turn down a "jockey"

No it went bust about a year or ago due to the popularity of a nearby chippy ( Waterfront) It's been replaced by Ocean's who's F & C are better. I had some last week and must admit the fish was as good as I've tasted

The Admiral in Killamarsh (s21) does a killer fish and chips, biggest fish I have ever seen and cooked well!

Ocean Fish Bar and restaurant in Cleethorpes
Olympus Fish & Chips in Bolton
Whelans in Lytham St Annes

These are all very good and worth a visit if you are in the area.
