Aftermarket sub and amp install slk r170 - MBClub UK

Hi to all. Has anyone fitted an aftermarket amplifier and subwoofers to a R170 SLK 2002 model, as I am busy installing one and am struggling to find a remote wire that sends signal to the amp. Does anybody know what colour wire it is, as I have almost finished the install and cannot finalise without the remote wire. Thank you, Danny.

Yes... But I had an aftermarket head unit which had a remote wire... Can you wire it into the yellow ignition wire so it comes on when ignition is turned on?

Cant you just use the aerial power lead? This is only supplies 12v when the radio is on.
