Slk racing seats

Hi, i have a pair of leather hk tuning racing seats which i would like to fit to my 2002 slk 200 kompressor but i have noticed a wire going to the underside of the original seat. Can i still do the conversion. Has anyone else put aftermarket racing seats in this car. Please could somebody help. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly danny.

Danny, welcome to MBClub.

More likely to have been done in the US than UK so you may get a response quicker from a US forum on this particular question.

I would imagine that the wire you mention goes to the passenger seat and is for the seat occupancy sensor for the SRS system/airbag, you should be able to remove the occupancy sensor pad out of the seat fit the pad to your new seat under the padding.
