Yeah, i use them as they have sorted out my problems on my v12 s600 biturbo ABC probs and done work on my sl60 amg v8, not exactly simple cars to work on. If they can work and do well on an s600 then in my books they are good, ive had bad experiences of people working on my s600 and it makes MD motorcare look top notch, got a coil pack fitted whilst i watched on sat took him about 25 mins to fit and got the car working again. Ive had garages (merc spec) saying dont change sparks on drivers side as its really hard to get 2 hours labour, i saw dave take off and fit in 25mins.
No problems, all honest and work done is by experienced tech 'dave'. Last edited by biturbo; 20-09-2011 at 03:44 PM. |

Thanks for the input.
I'm looking at getting my ATF fluid changed on my c180k and want a good job doing. Different specialists are giving me various information on the process though. Some saying will take an hour others at least two hours. Some saying will need 8-9 litres of fluid and others under 5. Don't know who to go with really. |

Thanks Ian. I've been told there is no way of getting all of the fluid out. And usually 5l is replaced. Is this correct?

Alex 163,
Thanks for mentioning MD Motorcare as I did not know of their existence even though they are 10 minutes from my home in Hooton on the Wirral ! I use MB Wirral in Hoylake for servicing etc and am pleased with them, but I thought I would go along and visit MD Motocare this morning. They occupy small but new and clean premises and were servicing 2 CLK 320`S when I called . Dave Owen is an extremely pleasant young man and is one of two brothers who are slowly building up their new business. He was previously with Mercedes Benz in Warrington. I will certainly try to give them some business perhaps undersealing my 210 as he gave me confidence in his abilities and his current labour rate is so competitive that I nearly fell over. I would recommend that you go along and see them,if only to receive a quote for the work you need doing. Regards John

Mercedes Specialist Wirral
Hello,
I am a new member here and im still finding my way around. I saw this thread and noticed that there was no mention of another mercedes specialist on the Wirral called Benza Autos. I have a ML320 & C220 cdi that have both been serviced by Benza Autos since it opened in 2009. They are based in new premises in Birkenhead at the end of the M53. The staff where trained at the Mercedes dealership in Chester and always seem to be busy. . Motor Quote:

Hi John
They are in Birkenhead just up the road from Beaufords on the same side in a complex if new units, best way is to leave the M53 via the dock link road past Toyota dealership, cross onto Birkenhead at the roundabout & follow road round, 2 mins from motorway. Worth giving them a look, lots of Mercedes training certs on the wall Hope it's of some use to others Tony750 |

Well i had my ATF fluid and filter renewed at MD this morning. And im mighty impressed.
As mentioned previously it is a small but new and clean outfit. I personally prefer this, the service Dave provided was very personal and his enthusiasm about the marque is clear. All at a price that was significantly cheaper than the other specialists quoted never mind a main dealer. I would not hesitate to use MD motorcare again, and recommend them to anyone. On another note i supplied the Fuchs 4134 (7g tronic spec) fluid which i am very impressed with so far. My auto box was always smooth and the old fluid looked in good condition (was still bright red) having covered 33k on it. I have noticed that the gear changes are noticeably smoother now. Up shifts cannot be felt at all So overall i'm very happy, excellent service from Dave and brillant fluid. |
