Possible defection

I'm thinking of defecting

Having a look at this later on.

Much as love my MB it's becoming impracticable, I'm doing a lot more mileage than anticipated and the fuel costs are getting ridiculous.

I've looked at diesel MB but TBH they just don't inspire me as much as the coupé.

Any opinions on the Pajero and what I should be looking out for?

My ex-wife had one of these. It was good to drive for a 4X4. Only did low 20s mpg. My C220 CDi is much better to drive, so unless you need a 4X4 even a diesel MB would be better all round. You could go for W209 CLK coupe - 220/270/320 diesel.

The Mistsu had one or two costly repairs - so in that repsect they are similar to mercs.

Looks like its an import, with a Nardo steering wheel from a Eunos Roadster (mx5) on it. We used to use these in Saudi, the problems were that they werent as good as the Toyotas and parts were pricey. If your into off-roading then fine, but as family transport Id look elsewhere. Mind you , that said, at £2395 looks alot of car for te money.

My Dad has a SWB one of these bought as a knockabout.

Currently corroding away in his driveway on sorn..

My builder has one as he often has to drive onto building site and lives in the yorkshire dales. He did say that it seemed really heavy on diesel.
