BMW Alpina B3S Biturbo Saloon (F30)

Its planned for launch in 2013 and should be a rather special car
3 litre Biturbo, 8 speed auto gearbox, 4 way adjustable suspension and perhaps a titanium exhaust along with a few other things
headline dimensions are 400bhp, 0-60 4.7secs top speed 186mph and combined fuel consumption 29mpg
Ive test driven the current model in coupe form and have to say i was very impressed with the whole balance of the car, its as smooth as silk but very potent. Alpina have a style all of their own , it could be described as a little old fashioned, but i really like it.
The saloon will suit me more as im a creature of habit and all that
no exacting details yet and all i can post is a rendering of an exterior shot ...

but ive ordered one - in fact im advised im the first in the uk to order one
which is mildly interesting , Alpina number their cars , its a worldwide numbering system so im expected to get a fairly low number those in the know suggest sub 20 ...more to follow

Alpina has always intrigued me - the closest I have come is an Alpina wheel and cam cover in my 02, but at some point no doubt I shall indulge. A very original purchase Mika!

Not an estate? The Alpina cars have a very loyal following. Hope the BMW forums are friendlier.....

You can get an E60 B5 Estate - not sure about the B3...

The two forums I've frequented were/are...

Looks good. I loved my B10 V8. Tricky to insure sometimes. Depreciation can be shocking.

More of a GT M*.*.

Corr thanks Gents some very good feedback here
i thought i might get thrashed for this , im dead excited
It seemed like a good idea and it is,
but its gonna be a long wait

When i spec it im planning on going for very much a traditional Alpina look with the Classic wheels wood interior trim black leather* (sorry i know its boring )
with the blue and green stitching pin stripe decals etc

anyone who has any Alpina experience i d be pleased to hear your views

*well maybe dark blue leather , but its extra!

I have an Alpina steering wheel on my BMW 2002 - does that count?
