SLK SRS Light and Steering Wheel Problem

Had a squeak from the steering wheel so tried spraying a bit of Armor All silicon spray around where the wheel meets the trim. Now I have the SRS light permanently on. I'm assuming the two are connected so how easy is it to get to the connections here?

Thanks

Dave

You may have damaged the contact spiral.

You need to remove the steering wheel and have a look.
