Classic red leather seats (Code x17)

I'm really liking the shade of red that I have seen on the AMG seats.
Obviously red goes with black exterior but would it look out of place on a palladium or alabandine one?

I think it depends on what shade of red you go for and how much of the leather is that colour. I'd keep it subtle. I plan to put red leather in my white W202 but not so much that it looks like the devil's boudoir.

It will look very odd on a saloon though.

Grey exterior with red interior works for me

I think red leather with a red exterior looks awful, grey black or white paintwork with red interior for me.

A dull dark green with a deep red works well, as does cream and red. Normally on old cars though!

I know of someone who ordered one of the last MG TFs before MG Rover went under, and specified a red leather interior and red soft-top with MGR's standard BRG. Despite being advised against this by the dealer, he very nearly pulled it off; the only thing that spoiled the effect was the fact that MGR's version of BRG was metallic, and nowhere near dark enough.

I think red look fabulous with silver but to be honest one really can't see it that clearly in a saloon/estate.
Here's a picture (from my album) of my red/black interior

From outside ..

This is close, but the green needs to be one shade darker IMO.

I would go darker still. This is my idea of an authentic BRG:

Marry that with oxblood hide (as seen in this Bristol), and you have a classicly subdued combination:
