Build Date

I collected my car in January (2005) - no winter tyres. I never thought of that - and we drove through plenty of snow on the way home.

FWIW, when I collected my W204 from Sindelfingen in Jan 2008 it came on Michelin Primacy HP's. I didn't drive through any snow on the way home though

Hey Superted! I didn't see this before I got all excited and posted my own thread asking exactly the same question lol!

Freaky...as I too have just ordered a C63 AMG (these are common as muck on this forum now )!

I've been given a build date of the 30th March and have also gone for the Factory Collection option. I've been told that I'll get a letter confirming when I can collect but just wondered if anyone knew how much longer after the build I can expect to wait!

It seems you'll get yours a few weeks before me so make sure you take plenty of pics and let me know what to expect!

I have just replied to your thread - . All very exciting

I am impressed you got such a specific build date - i still havent got one. Still sometime in Feb it will be built i have been told - they are quite cagey

I would imagine that with yours it will be ready sometime in early May for collection

What a lovely time of year that will be!

I really am getting so excited about this whole thing now. Just counting down the days and hoping it isnt going to be much more than a month til collection date!!

You will get a letter confirming details. They are lovely people who work at the collection call centre so you will not have any problems. They seem to know more about the build than the delearship

Are you going to go for 5 day or 10 day insurance do you think?

I wouldn't have thought you would get M&S tyres - the car will be UK spec and such will have UK spec tyres fitted as standard unless somehow you have ordered it with M&S tyres!!

Thanks, i am sure whatever tyres they do put on will be absolutely fine

I am going in March - the weather shouldnt be too bad then - fingers crossed!!
