No I'm just having a laugh

athough mine does have a D6 Brabus box.

I doubt there is much in it like for like estate or saloon, I just find the estate too useful.

Saying that there is a member on here with a E55K estate that does 60 in 4 seconds !!! minds just behind that....probably another 4

Love the Sport alloys (and a neighbour has a 280 Sport with them on (and his front suspension collapsed at 46,000 miles)) - how much different (firmer / harsher) is the ride on the 18's compared to the standard 16's?

Put my 18" Sport Alloys in the Garage and swapped em for these as the ride was still too soft for my liking!

I managed 4.2s at Vmax with the timing devices they provided...

I reckon most are capable of that time with a good start.

211 got the V6 from 2005 and these will all be galvanised so no big rust worries. Early ones were not galvanised. Also I wouldn't worry too much about the Valeo radiator issue. By this time they've all either been fixed or died....

Mine is avant guard and even with 18" alloys its a soft ride really.

It does tram line more with the wide tyres but little else.

As for springs one went around 80K on 16" alloys and one on 128K on the 18" alloys.

They are but my 2005 car is rusting in the wheel arch. Don't believe me, ask Ian Walker who seen the disgrace. Corneds 2005 car is rusting.

Mercedes could make plastic rust. They are the modern day Lancias.

I have an amazing solution for this. Bilstein B12 prokit with proper Eibach springs. Its such a good drive it makes me think twice about getting a BMW.

Not disagreeing with you Steve - I'd believe anything of your car; you clearly got a Friday car there. I think if it had been mine it might have been gone for quite some time by now.

Don't buy one, all five that I've owned have been terrible.

In fact, my current W211 E320 V6 CDi Sport is so embarrassingly Shiite that I'm going to take it to the scrappers to weigh it in. The gearbox is useless, always in the wrong gear, the car only does 50 mpg at an average of 70mph etc etc.

Honestly, don't buy one.

I'm tempted to lower it but speaking to my indy its a few more issues with the self leveling rear, and as I tow with it I don't want to cause any issues.

Its pretty good and holds on well when you get used to it. For a large car its quite chuckable....but its still a large car in the lanes
