Does anyone have any suggestions as to who / where would be interested in a car like this? He has booked to take the car to a W.B.A.C dealer on Saturday so any advice much appreciated.

If we had some visuals it would be much easier to comment.
I've been looking for a decent one for literally years and have yet to see anything I'd risk offering anywhere near the asking price.

From a w140 owner, best cars I ever had.It is my 5th now and never had problems with compering to other models driven. There are some things U need to look out for like pse pump, soft closing pump - they like to go wrong. For power steering pump talk to Carl from w140doctor he will sort you out with cheap original replecement.
If it have history to it,little rust should be good example.
3.5 maybe a bit too much around 2500-2750 better
Good luck

Let me say this, if you spend some money on it, it will be awesome again. These are great cars and fantastically charasmatic and built when Mercedes still really cared about quality. Want my opinion, fix and keep it

I've got one of these, well a CL420 actually, and they are fantastic...
that is as long as nothing goes wrong...
which of course it never does because it's a Mercedes.
I am surprised WBAC offered that much for the car. As much as I love them, they are very hard to shift as in sell. Advise your friend to keep it!
