From what i can tell the sport is the same as it was before the sport plus came along other than intel light as you say? Is that right? The sport plus just has some extra trimmings?

What Bad luck.
Did you manage to get a picture of the driver?

Unfortunately, I wouldn't hold out much hope of the Police pursuing this and apprehending the driver.

You *might* be able to have your legal assistance further it with the van drivers insurance company directly, as you have the registration number.

Other than the slight uniqueness now, your car looks great, I like the interior. Are the seat and door panels, suede or alcantara?

Yep. Lights and (18") wheels externally, alcantara trim and red stitching and belts internally.

Doesn't sound that much but then the premium isn't that big, and it does add up to more "presence" imo....

I am not too fussed about the interior bits, my main concern was that side by side a sport and a sport plus will look the same from the outside, subject to wheel choice. I have ordered a sport with the 18" 7 spoke wheels so provided the bodykits are the same and the sport hasnt been watered down from what it was before i'm cool with it!

I say i've ordered it, changes at work mean it hasnt actually been submitted so i could change it if i wanted!

The excess is £250. I have the mans reg (a photo) and he is registered and insured with Aviva. The van was stickered up as Master Windows and the accident happened where Greyhound Lane meets the A23. If anyone sees the big white Ford Transit in that area, please take a photo of the black scratches on it pleas

I was in the similar situation as you - i had order wentt in to order the sports coupe months ago bu then was convinced to wait and get the sports plus by friends and the dealer and i think made the right choice - there are slight changes externally - the alloys , spoiler , lights side mirrors and the grill is black (and also the grey slats are black if you have the amg handling package as extra)

Drive wise (as mine has the dynamic package) not much difference i've noted but only test drove the normal sport twice. Both are great!

i do like the cosmetic finish and would definitely recommend inspecting the new sports plus inside and out esp now as there are many in showrooms now to compare to the prior sport - at the time i had placed my order there weren't any just a computer screen and some graphics and had to use faith and my imagination!lol

Just seen a white Sport Plus and it looks great. Although it had the Red seat belts, which I don't like too much. But the wheels suit it If anyone wants to see one in the Manchester area, they have it at the Ashton Road dealerships and I am sure the lovely Matthew Ryan would be able to help (great salesman to deal with )

Visited parents a week back and came out and watched neighbor bump into my back bumper while parking - he looked at me with worry as the pure anger was visible and the mrs had to calm me down but luckily there was no damage and a very apologetic neighbor

Thanks for the pictures, ordered a c350 sport plus a couple of weeks back in diamond silver. Delivery is due beginning of September.
Sorry to hear about the damage, really dreading anything like that.
I'm doing a full protection detail on it so it's off the road for a couple of days as soon as its delivered.

GeordieAmanda, hows the car - is it what you expected, any points to report? My delivery dates been moved into September from August, has anyone else had a similar situation?

I ordered my C350 Sport at the end of November 2011 for delivery on 1st March 2012. At the time of placing the order the dealer told me they'd have it for February, but I wanted to wait until March for the '12' reg. When February arrived I called to check on delivery and was told that it'd been delayed until mid to late March. March arrived and I was told that it had been delayed until April! Excuses about the earthquake in Japan so problems getting the right alloy for the wheels and the right material for the paint. As we made our way through March the estimated delivery date started to come slowly forward again, and eventually I got it on 31st March. Thankfully it was worth the wait.

So far the insurance hadn't contacted me after I called them a couple of times and the Met haven't responded either. I know the Olympics are on, but a quick phone call wouldn't have gone amiss.

As for the car, I've done just over 1,000 miles so it's starting to free up a bit and I can say it definitely feels quicker than the A4 3.0tdi i had (and that is a quick car) although he fuel economy seems to be about 4-5 mpg worse

The only niggles I have are the slightly floaty suspension and the gearbox sometimes seeming to be confused around 30 mph when dawdling along. The car is superb on the motorway though

I will do a write up when I find the time (not got a day off for another 3 weeks though and leaving for work at 06:30 every morning and getting back around 21:30 for the foreseeable future wont help
