I agree it would look lovely but I reckon they would show up dirt/denim stains etc too easily ...

Baby wipes do work well, I've often wondered if they were designed with car enthusiasts in mind for cleaning up the little 'uns mess and then giving something back to the car!

Great choice of colour, glad the experience was up to expectation,
Edd

Great choice of car - I love anything with the 63AMG engine

I like your colour combination too - look forward to your thoughts on living with the beast over the next few months/years.

2012 ClS - Keyless-GO

Keyless -Go should be available from 1st June 2012. Its hitherto omission is I understand down to the UK insurance rating agency Thatcham who rate security, amongst other things, on inclusion (or not) of deadlocks which are now fitted to all UK imports (in order to comply) and this combined with MB's decision not to "tweak" the Keyless-Go system to work with deadlocks on E, C and CLS models.

MB did from outset tweak for S and CL because they deemed this class to be worthy of customer demand for Keyless-Go. Given that you can order the equivalent on a Ford Escort, this may not have been a very clever marketing decision but June orders should (we hope) see a correction to this. With luck, we might see the ability to order such on MB's computer systems for purchase by end April/early May.

charliegeorge - thanks for the comprehensive answer re: keyless go. I am about to order my car but could wait for delivery post 1 June 2012 in order to get this feature (which I agree is a strange omission given the calibre of the car). Do all Mercedes dealers understand this issue and the timing?

I've often found the forums are ahead of the dealers which can be frustrating
