Only ever had one white car, a real pain to keep clean, as bad as black, but at least black looks smarter when you've cleaned it.

White has been all the rage since the i-pod came out.

(OT but I can't stand "i" this and "i" that - not long before a breakfast cereal as "i" before its name!)

Soon enough white will be banished again to local authority cars only!

And watch the prices on them tumble once more...

I saw a silver E 350 CGI today, nothing special, but that was wrapped so a matt silver. First time I have seen it on a mundane type car rather than something all blinged.

Me too, one white car, spent most of my time cleaning it yet it always looked dirty one mile later, would never buy one again.
(possibly OK in hot climates where cars tend to say cleaner for longer, not in the UK though)

If you have a BMW 2002 yep

Nice but easily come by a new E350CGi if you have the money. Its not a rare or "special" car like a 190E Evo, CLK DTM/GTR if you know what I mean.

Silver paint, however, is better than all the other MB colours, apart from maybe black, why would anyone choose anything different to that I don't know

Depends on how and where you drive? My car stays clean for a week when I use it every day, just the wheels that start to look dull when they're covered in brake/road dust.

I think that white looks stunning when new, but ages badly, have you ever seen a 10 year old car finished in white that looks stunning?
