So after about 600yards I was approaching a set of bollards so slowed to a halt and gave her the phone signal and to put it down. She just flashed her lights indignant that she had to stop! I know women are more talkative than blokes so if it is essential for them to chat constantly why don't they get a hands free kit. I can't understand why anyone wouldn't have one if phone calls are so all fired important to them!:mad:

Hi

I have a SL R129 Facelift - year 1999.

I want to replace my soft top, does anyone recommend a company
in Southern England that can remove supply and fit for the above.

I live in Berkshire so anywhere within 60 miles of Bracknell would be
preferable.

Hi all, some advice please

I had my CL65 (215) with a MB dealer and they said that the front offside Spring Control Arm and Transverse Control Arm needs replacing. The guy said that the when doing these the struct which attaches to the Spring Control Arm do get seized on and it will most likely need to be replaced also if it cant be removed - i believe the strut is quite an expensive part for this car! :(

Has anyone every come across this issue or heard of it ? it seems a bit extreme that i may have to replace a strut which is otherwise okay but the only problem is that it is seized to the spring control arm that needs replacing.

Any help appreciated:thumb:

when driving slowly such as in traffic or pulling away the P indicator on the dashboard stays on for a short while and sometimes theres an a left pointing arrow that flashes on next to it ...what is this arrow for ?

secondly - more a driving style adjustment id imagine but every time i stop and knock the car into park it rolls forward or backwards slightly - is this a quirk of auto boxes or am i doing something wrong ?
Thanks
