How many miles?
The OM606 is a gem of old tech. IDI as you probably know.
Worn injector nozzles = 'nailing'?

Sounds nowt too serious, anyway.

its more than likely just a bit of air in the fuel, not enough to cause trouble starting but enough to describe your symptoms exactly, and nothing to worry about

Yup. Slacken off each injector pipe to find which one. Or use the hammer handle stethoscope method.

How many miles has the car done, any previous injector/pump work done? Could be an bad injector or lifter. Maybe post a video?

Good point - I had a OM606 with a sticky lifter and it would do exactly as OP describes. It was a NA .910
