MP3 or ipod conversion

Hi guys,

New to Mercedes and frustrated by the audio. All i want is an audio jack to plug my iPod into. I've read some links that say you can remove the cd changer to adapt. You tube is vague only showing full replacement of the unit. I'd prefer to keep that and run a cable from the glove compartment.....any ideas?

cheers

Depending on the age of your car, there should be an audio jack in the glove box. If you want to use the steering wheel controls there is an interface that comes up inthe dash for something like £150 or if you have Command you can retrofit the media interface but it is considerably more.

Thanks Chris

Its 2006 and i've checked. My ST 2006 had it in the glove compartment and i only found it after i owned the car for 2 years. By my reckoning the posts i've read suggest removing the cd changer and free-ing up the port at the back of it. I just assumed i may have been missing something.. I have the phone bluetooth working fine but was hoping someone would help....

Have a look at Comand Online Ltd or give them a call. I found them really helpful in what could and could not be done with my last car. The socket in the glove box is on the left hand side wall. Not sure about a 2006 car though, sorry.
