CDI 220 W203 (2002) won't start

Hi, This is my first post and am asking on behalf of my mechanic who is currently working on my car.

The fuel warning light came on with 1/8 tank left, I drove 1/2 mile and parked (just coincidence that I was going to the mechanic anyway). Later on the car started fine but stopped after a few yards and wouldn't start again. More diesel was added but it still wouldn't start.

My mechanic has checked fuses and relays which are fine but the pump doesn't run. There is no feed at fuel pump connector and his question is which colour wire of the 5/6 on the connector is the live feed?

Any input much is appreciated.

I take it he has a multi meter if he's checked fuses and relays, should be able to do the same and find the feed, alternatively trace it backwards from the pump(2wires).

I would think so. He was looking for a wiring diagram though.

Get him to jump 12v on to the pump,if it runs go back to the relay he's checked locate the switched feed,do a continuity check from there to the pump,no need for wiring diag, basic electrics,
