C270 Wont kick down

Ive recently had a few problems thought id got over them doing EGR delete, but still a few bugs, im pretty sure my cars not goin into limp mode. But its changing gear at 2000rpm or just over even when im flooring it pulls well upto that point but chnges up, when cruising wont kick down when i floor it but does accelerate then change up??? It is sometimes doing it (and then pulls like a train) but rarely ive got a service friday which 55 days late but this couldnt cause it....could it?

Hi ya, it is in limp mode, the next problem is finding out why which is beat done on a star machine. The classic signs of limp mode are shifting up gears at around 2000, 3000 limit and no kick down and it could be caused by anything but i would be surprised if it is the fact that the service is 55 days over due but it could be down to a service item

If it goes on a star i would expect it too but it shouldn't cause a problem at all and as far as the mot it will make no difference, what will make a difference is something else being wrong but at the end of the day it is your car and doesn't belong to merc so it is up to you what you do to it, just be careful of any bull**** they spout and listen carefully to what you are told and if there is any doubt come on here and ask

Symptoms sounds like 'maf' faulty to me. (buy only from MB, NOT off ebay)

Definitely NOT related to overdue service.
