Have you tried the toolkit in the boot? I found mine there all wrapped up with spanners 'n' stuff?

Just checked my 2003 SL500 map ( not sure it's the same but worth a try ) and the fuse is f5 which is a 40A fuse located in main fusebox in front of the driver in the engine bay ( on a RHD car ) . It's innermost of the 3 fuses among the relays.

Just checked the sheet again and it does all R230 models, f5 is the same on SL350, SL500, SL55 and SL600.

If you're still not convinced I can look up the fuse designation for you and scan it. Send it to you as an email if that helps.

Phillip.
