W203 Headlamp question

I finally got round to installing my clear projector style headlamps (halogens) on my car at the weekend but have come up with a problem. Although they are supposed to be ‘plug and play’, the wiring on the car is different. Both the original headlamps and the projectors, have one main rectangular socket to plug in the wiring, which is fine. However, the problem is this: On my car, the wiring to the passenger side has a split loom, with the indicator bulb holder having its own wires, but on the driver side, the indicator bulb holder has no wires and no split loom. The projectors have both indicators wired internally with all wires going to the main rectangular connector. Anyone else had this problem when replacing the headlamps. Thanks for any help on this.

Get in touch with the supplier/maker of your units. Sounds as though they need to supply a conversion plug/socket.

Thanks vtd, did try but seller no longer active on ebay and the units originally from Far East, hence my post - my fault for taking far too long to get round to doing things!

Here is picture (passenger side) with headlamp removed showing the main rectangular connector and separate wiring for the indicator (which is only on this side - not the drivers side).

Are all w203 like this?

Looks like you will need to do a bit of rewiring.
As a guess I would say that if you made the passengers side the same (or a mirror image - depending) as the drivers side, then all will work OK.
But check first.
Or of course take it to a specialist car electrical place and pay them to sort it out.

My Cl203(2003 C-class coupe) have identical plugs on both sides
The connector plugs will be available from MB & I am sure someone on here will be able to furnish you with the electrical pin outs wiring diagram- it should not be too big a job to get it sorted & the finished refreshed result will be worth it!

Thanks for replies guys, much appreciated. Could anyone with a w203 just check to see if their one is similar, or if mine with the break out cable is unusual? thanks...
