battery drain

hi,i have an 03 s class 320cdi with 60k on clock.i have had the car for about 18months.just recently the battery drained i jump started it and it ws fine for 6 weeks.it then went dead again with not enough power to open doors etc.jumped it again and fine for a day then drained again!i have noticed one or twice over last 6 month the screen freezes on command screen for about 2 mins then corrects itself.is there an upgrade disc or something that will sort out this glitch? when the battery was draining i put an ammeter on battery and it showed a 2 amp drain, then when i strated the car up and turned it off it corrected itself and showed no drain thus difficult to trace! thanks for your help in anticipation.the local mb dealer say i can buy an upgrade disc for command for £160 is this the answer?

The battery drain is probably the COMAND not shutting down.
