Instrument Cluster - Swap out
My instrument cluster is faulty according to main dealer. Wanted to know if I by a second hand one would my current mileage be retained by the new cluster or will it revert back to the mileage that it was showing before it was removed from the car. Also is this a DIY job has anyone done this before? any special tools needed? Any help would be greatly appreciated |

I think the mileage is also stored elsewhere on the car, and when the cluster is fitted, they have to connect a STAR system to configure it for your car, Then the new cluster will have the current (correct) mileage

Hmmmmm .... this is not good news Alfie ...
I will have a CLK 55 cluster to go in mine soon , i was hoping a friendly STAR specialist could swap the information over ...
