broken key fob

hi ive got a mercedes 190 e and ive dropped the key fob,the littleconnection where the batery goes broke off but iv had it soldered back into place the red light is coming on but the fob is not opening the centeral locking any ideas please

You need to resync the key. Instructions should be in your owners manual
