You have to take the wood panel off, it comes off from the bottom after you remove the screws. I think the screws are visible above the ashtray - but its been a very long time.

Thanks for that. So the keys are not used then? Why do they have the slots in the unit?

Theres 2 screws that hold the unit in once you removed the wood panel.
The front is same as the W163 ML and the W208 CLK where the keys are used Richard
