Replacing door speakers in a W208
I read in a related thread that there was a possibility of setting off a side airbag - which I'd rather avoid.....(!) Thanks in advance. |

Dead easy ... no worries with airbags at all ...
Are you replacing with standard MB ones or going for an upgrade ? If you are upgrading , make sure the speakers aren't going to be too deep for the baskets .... |

Hi Mate,
I did exactly that in my old W208 but also had other bits added too (i.e. 7" dvd player, subwoofer, amp etc.) and it sounded amazing. I used MB Quart Reference Speakers as they are one of the best sounding you can get specially the tweeter is so crisp and clear that I always use them in my cars includng my old Porsche 911, BMW X5, Nissan 350Z and now just about to buy another set for my W209. Highly recommended. |

Do you mean the speaker between the two rear seats ?
That is a subwoofer ... The cabrio only has speakers in the doors and a sub Coupes have speakers in doors and rear shelf . |
