sunroof control switch all cocked up

After reading recent threads about the IR key opening and shutting windows and sunroof, I thought I would try it, and it works! Fantastic, but I wish I hadn't touched it now.
The sunroof switch is now constantly changing its sequence, so pull back closes rather than opens and push up now opens it rather than tilting it up. Have tried holding switch in position after an open or close motion but no reset found. Is there a reset function that anyone can recall or shall I live with it. At least it closes by one means or another and that is the most important thing.
Thanks in advance for any assistance in this trivial problem!

With key in 2 open it, then close and hold the switch for 10 sec after it has closed. This is standard for all resets
