Speedtronic is like cruise control but it will also accelerate back to the speed you have selected via the cruise control. eg, if you brake then press the stalk foward again it will start accelerating back up to the speed - great feature that I use all the time on the motorway.

So your travelling at 50 Mph, brake down to 30Mph, press it forward again and it will begin accelerating back up to 50Mph without you having to touch the pedal.

I hope this makes sense?

Time it right and you never need to use the pedals (as long as the road is clear).

That's how normal cruise control (resume) works.

Speedtronic allows you to set a maximum speed that the car will not exceed no matter how hard you press the pedal. Very useful in roadworks etc.

The feature is overrudden when you press the pedal to the floor for obvious reasons
