Automatic Lights

I have an S320 and set my lights for automatic on. Recently on these bright sunny mornings, I have noticed that my headlights are on untill I drive into the sun. I have cleaned what I presume is the sensor in the windscreen above the interior mirror from the outside, is there any adjustment so the lights go off when it is normal light. I presume if there is it would be done on a star machine?

Low-angle sun in the winter does tend to confuse the sensor.
