Dash Bulbs on W202.

At night the dash bulbs aren't so bright on the rev counter side, also the digital clock although working fine is not lit up. Are these dash Bulbs ?
I've just looked at the manual and to take the dash display out, the steering wheel, bag, and lower dash has to taken out - or is there a secret back door way of carrying out the job. [lives in hope]

The end rev counter bulb has gone on mine too. If you have an adjustable reach steering wheel then when pulled full out you should be able to get the cluster out by using the OEM hooks or by pushing it from underneath.

If it were me I'd buy a full set of bulbs and replace them all as it's an annoying job and the process of removal can cause premature failure of the bulbs which were working prior!

Good advice, I'll get stuck into it tomorrow and replace all the bulbs.

just undo the screws for the cover under the drivers side and you should be able to push the cluster out.

As shude says better to replace all the bulbs, there are 2 types.

Make sure the ignition is switched off when you disconect the 2 plugs at the rear of the cluster otherwise your air bag light will stay on and require a reset.

i did this a while back,

i did the push from behind method as i didn't have the hooks.

if you like now is a good time to change the speedo colour to a
nice LED White or something...

That's what i did, look great.
