Lynall,
I had them fitted to the rear of my W210 E55. The sensors fit into the same places as the factory; they were audible so did not have the factory overhead visual display. You can have these now with factory visual displays from various companies as a retro fit. I found them to be excellent. I have a picture in the gallery. E55 on right retro fit, E240 on left factory fit. A pair of W210's, His & Hers 2008... and an untidy garage! PM me and I will send the full size image which more clearly shows the sensors. Regards Richard

I've fitted them to my ML, fairly easy work brilliant.
I only went for two sensors came pre painted and they are as good as cars I have had with 6 sensors, plus you get the visible warning as well, ![]()

I don't like the new displays as in the W211 etc with the led's. The W202/W203 era displays were far better imho

I'm considering an after market set for my father's car (not MB any more, although I've made him consider an A-class). He is pretty old already and the parktronic in his current car is useless because it only gives a tone warning and the tone is so high in frequency that he cannot pick it up at all. A display based one possibly with a lower frequency warning tone would be what I'm after. |

Hello
Sorry Mine were off flea bay. Came from HK and cost around £30 posted. Display shows, distance and also if obstical on left or right. Very accurate and as I say with only two sensors in 18months they have work brilliantly. ![]()

I have the same as A210AMG, but on my W202... works a treat! Colour matched the bumper perfectly, so I cut the damn beeper out of the unit and sprayed the cover black to match the dash
![]() Verry happy with it! will get some pics up soon and post a link

Did you get your off fleabay too. How easy was it to fit? Did you have to remove any interior panels?

yeah i too fitted ones from ebay to the rear of my clk - i got the kit for £30 odd quid and got the bumper insert too from e bay (with the factory parktronic holes) fitted it all and the aftermarket sensors sit flush with the bumper - work spot on (no display)
I would like the switch to turn on and off too..... does anyone know if the factory switch would do this?? now here is a story........ i also tried to fit 6 front ones again same way using the factory bumper inserts....... used 2 kits as thought one was faulty set it up with the thing that powers them for 30 secs - just gave so many false alarms i removed the things!!!

Most of the aftermarket systems are more or less the same. The electronics are from China but I cannot find sensors cheaper than buying a whole kit - what I mean is the whole kit with sensors is really cheap. Most of them only go down to 30 or 40cm so I have just finished taking mine to bits, pulling out the micro and fitting my own, which I then coded, and changed the wiring to the display to a simple four wire. My min distance now is about 20cm which is much better. I used the old led display for distance but added a left and right bargraph too. The display is easy to power from the radio or cig lighter and in my version two of the four wires are supply to the reversing module which gets switched on by reverse. It does not get power from the lights (nasty) but senses the lights to detect reverse. Finally, my new display sits neatly in the oddments thingy under the radio. I only finished it today, but when it is fitted I will post some pics.
