My new door speakers

Hi,
I bought some complete door builds with speakers for my W202, I bought them then thought twice as I would have to ruin my original door panels to fit them but I took the plunge and had them fitted, after nearly a year since buying them.
The speakers themself are MB Quart, and behind the grill is 2 subs, 1 mid, and if you look on the internal door mirror trim is a tweeter which mounted similar to a ball joint, allowing you to point the speaker in your desired direction.
I do like them and they sound superb, but i,m interested in what the forum think, have a just ruined a set of C43 Leather door panels.

Hi,
Thanks for positive comments. The remaining pocket is small but I only ever use it for my work car pass anyway.
They are from a German company and they do similar solutions for many other cars too. I,ll post the link when I get home as it is saved on my home PC (i,m on work one atm).
I actually bought mine from a ICE supplier/installer in the New Forest called U.I.C. (Ultimate in Car). The owner of the company had a C43 many years ago when I first got my C230K, and when my car was having some work done I drooled over his C43 and he showed me these door builds that he was going to put in.
Well many years later after I bought my C43 I went to see him thinking he would have the best solutions for stereo/speaker upgrades having owned one himself (he now has a "04" C32 and a Ferarri). Well after chatting for a bit he dissappears and comes back with the very same door builds that he had shown me years before, he had never fitted them.
Well I paid £250 for them which was everything I needed to install them apart from Dynomat (3.5 rolls of Dynomat Extreme) and a suitable amp, the speakers were 2 ohm so I had to source a 2 ohm stable amplifier, which I got from E-bay, Kicker Comp. 200/2.
They sound superb but shows up how bad the rear speakers are and I have to have them faded out.

I think they modernise the look of the car, they don't look bad at all. Did you have to send your door cards or did you buy new ones from them?

A worthwhile and tidy addition. There's nothing quite like great sound apparently coming from nowhere.

Except now I'm getting itchy to pick up the SL!
