Smile dvb-t installation & Antenna Choice

ok folks...
1...First port of Call..local dealer...and got him to code TV. on an s500 2002,comand 2.5.
2 hooked up an IMU mulitimedia Interface...really easy..bit of care needed to interface on c2,for the can.. rest is plug n play.
3 used clip on conectors to wire a dietz dvb-t box to comand 12v and earth.and 12v antenna.
(re-assembled comand back to dash)

4.plugged in the 5v active supplied antenna's.
Went for a drive...picked up 4 stations on scan functions..all bbc.
(we live in an area with weak signals, with rubbish reception)

ok..i thought..lets beef up the antenna's...got two 5v actives from delights..germany ebay..and a set of kenwood dvb-t actives.
and two sets of F plug 2 way splitters.and 4 male/male F plug conectors.just the run of mill conectores,,female/female..as you need to keep send the 5v to the active antenna's.(don't get the housed ones..dc is not passed)

went for a spin..picked up 18 free to view channels..with good reception.

Ran 2 antenna to rear winscreen via passenger sills...
ran 2 antenna to front windscreen...

ok so far...
net results...fitted all the gubbins under passenger footwell..

these are the best Antenna..on my tests..see below..

17db on the delights 5v active antenna's

Conclusion....to get dvb-t (digital). you need to beef up the antenna's..and they can be run in tandem....also...ensure you buy a true diversity 2 antenna box..which switches to the strongest signal..and the dvb-t box is able to send 5v down to the active antenna's...
if you live in a weak signal area..

link for the best antenna.
