203 - 2004 Pre facelift Audio 20
I have a pre facelift c class with an audio 10 radio and would like to change to the newer audio 20 fitted to the later models can this be done and do you know the best place to buy? Thanks Neil |

I suspect that the software may have been changed so that the newer unit is not backwardly compatible ( as Mercedes often do)- ?something to do with the CAN bus. If you do manage it, I would be interested to know as I also have a pre-facelift W203

your audio 10 is D2b bus and the Audio 20 is MOST bus.

OK so it's more to do with the signalling standards than the actual physical fitment of the unit.
