Can the windows on my ML be made to lower / close on the remote?
With previous cars I have had I can hold the button down and open the windows, again to close them. I've tried all sorts of combinations of the remote but no luck. Is it a NO or does the stealer need to program my keys? I'm guessing it maybe a no as my mirrors I have to fold in pressing a button on console rather than my dads E class that fold on lock. The lights come on though if I leave it on Auto setting? ooh its a ML350 163 model thanks |

This feature if you have it only works within a close range of the drivers door handle, and you have to hold the button for several seconds

Its not working on my S class, within 3" of the door sensor, and holding for a time. It worked fine on my E class.
Locking the car does retract the mirrors |

I sometimes need to do a reset for this 'comfort' feature.
I think with the key in position 2 you need to hold the window switches in the close position for several seconds so that the system knows where fully closed is. I may be talking utter tripe here but it seems to work with mine. |

Now that Nibbo mentions it, I remember reading that comfort closer does not work if the windows have not be normalised (trained for the closed-position). If they do not close/open with a single (good) press, windows need to be normalised. The above post probably explains the issue.

My W203 has an Infrared sensor on the handle which is the way the MBs manage the remote window functions as described in the other posts above. |

Jay is right, on a 2001 the mirrors need to be folded manually by holding the fold button down. There is no cluster setting for autofold on a 2001 s-class.
