Ipod Help please

Hi

We have just got our E220 CDI 08 plate with Audio 20. Is there anyway of adding an Ipod to it?

I've no idea what that number that starts with a W means let alone what ours is (sorry for being a bit dim!)

I have a feeling it can't be done but will be very happy to be prooved wrong!

Thanks
Lesley

look in the glove box for an audio in socket (standard size - like earphone socket). You can connect ipod via that if you have it and then go to AUX on the audio headunit...

You can also buy retro fit ipod integration for about £350 fitted iirc...

Not using a Mercedes kit - the only E class head unit with an AUX input is COMAND, so thats all the Merc iPod kit will work with.

However, it should be possible to fit a Dension Gateway 500 - I have not had a chance to play with those - I beleive they work better if you dont have / want a CD changer as they pretend to be a CD changer

Your car is a W211 which means it is an E class. The rest of that number is your chassis number and is used to identify your car and all its components.

You can fit a Mercedes Ipod interface only if you have comand i'm afraid. Otherwise its a third party device such as a Dension.

Crumbs - so audio 20 doesn't have aux in! Wow...

My ford has aux in on its head unit (plays my ipod stuff brilliantly)..
