2001 C320 W203, 2 problems, need help

I bought this car (W203 C320 2001) about 2 months ago, the car had no problems whatsoever at the time, pretty clean for its age.
First of all, the ESP seems to be acting it up, it works sometimes, and sometimes it doesnt (giving me the malfunction on the dash). I havent found a pattern and this seems to be happening at random. Any simple reasons why this might be happening?
The second problem is that the cd player is giving me a Magazine Empty or No CD Changer error everytime I try to play some cds. The changer seems to be looking for cds, but doesnt find any (even if all the slots are full).
I'm not, by any means, a mechanic, but I can do some simple tasks to fix these problems. Are there any or am I just better off going to the dealer (which will dreadfully overcharge for a simple task)?

Is it not under warranty? You purchased it only ~2 months ago!

Thing to do is to get the codes read out, could be a front SAM or ESP module, or a speed signal. the plug on the ESP module is known to oxidize, and it could be worth cleaning with a good switch cleaner

Looks as though the CD player has a laser problem.

Both faults will show up on Star.,and an indie can do the test
