Lw washer fluid warning light

Am I correct in thinking that the warning light for the screen/headlamp wash fluid should go out once the reservoir is refilled??
Only I did ours at the weekend and it's still on - this makes me think, if the answer to the above is yes, that maybe a sensor float has stuck and requires some "percussive maintenance".........

it should go out when there is more than 1 litre in the tank. You might want to check that it's still plugged in

Sorted - in a highly embarrasing way!

Checked the reservoir - and it was empty again so I filled it up and listened - sure enough, sound of running water. After a bit of digging it transpired that the hose to the headlamp washers had come off.

Put it back on and pushed it home firmly - now all is well......

Teach me to check first before making assumptions!!!
