Any car audio experts out there?
For the R129, I have the standard Audio30--I was thinking for the source unit a becker indianapolis or traffic pro, or the pioneer p99rs then i guess id want ipod/iphone compatabilty and speaker upgrade For the boxster I have sound package plus with PCM any thoughts? |

129's are a bit of a pain as the std speakers run in a 1ohm config...
it isn't a big deal to upgrade but you do need to change H/U and speakers and mess with wiring.. I'm part way through mine... just need to finish wiring and bits... does sound massively better with the upgraded units and the baby kenwood sub though... |

you can either go under the passenger carpet or behind one or both of the seats.... only the baby kenwood one seems to fit.

Alfie, Rob and Richard at Unique installed a top of the line double DiN Alpine in my 911 with JL Audio amp... The sound is amazing, installation neat, OEM looking and great price too....
I'd recommend them highly.... I see you're in Birmingham but it's well worth the drive... |

Oh and if you are looking at the kenwood the new version is the bt-92 or there is a mechless version (no cd) with a screen for artwork/video coming soon.

is it simple to use, my brther in law as a similar looking pioneer-- lots of menus- i just want radio and ipod no faff!
