At the end of the day, the R129 is an 80's design that was primarily designed as a 2-seater...the jump seats were an afterthought.

Things have come a long way since then

Yes, Tracker and Scorpion Track.

We tend to fit Tracker to people who want a base tracking system (mainly those being told they must have a tracking system by their insurance company, and Scorpion track to those who want a bit more)

Actually not quite so true. I was told that the airbag needs to decelerate the chest. If it decelerates your head and not your chest (because you are too low) as your body is heavy you break your neck.

So need to ensure any child seat is putting the child high enough (or far back enough that the seatbelt is doing its job first ? Which if you've put an adult behind and pushed the seat fully forward seems unlikely.

Safest seat in the car is the rear seat behind the passenger.

As this is now about security for your cars, we should take this one 'off line' - give Mark (alfie) a call.

In more general speak, this is what we find: -

Those that are required to put a tracker on their vehicle by the insurance company, but are budget limited or feel upset that they are having to do it (the latter being very common) tend to put Tracker Monitor on their cars.
Those who are putting a tracking system on because they want to, tend to end up with system which uses GSM and GPS - and my favourite is Scorpion Track where you can look on their portal to see where your car is (most of the time) and their annual fee is less than Tracker. That group of users tend not to have the systems with an additional fob because (a) its too much hassle if they have to do something with the fob, and (b) as most would keep the fob with their keys and most serious cars the theft starts with the keys being nicked it doesn't help.

When the insurance company insists on a separate fob with or without remote "limp" mode, then there are a couple of good systems.

Alarms, Mark can give you some recommendations, depending what you're requirements are

I always thought it was both tbh, ideally looking to keep head and chest relatively aligned. Seatbelt on the 129 is integrated into the seat, so it's "right" wherever the seat is positioned. As for fitting a child seat, that I leave to the experts, but a forward facing seat at least has a chance of being a yes whereas a rearward would always be no.

In the end it's not exactly the ideal car for carrying children.

get a sub for the boot and place your amp there. If you get a decent sub it will do the job nicely.
