wired tax disc holder

thought I'd change my tatty tax disc holder, went to pull it off to find it has an electrical wire connected, guessing its an aerial for hands free, can anyone confirm to save me pulling the dash to bits to trace it.

whats the option for changing it to a new position, its a nokia kit.

thanks

Correct - it will be a GSM Aerial Tax Disc. I still have one fitted to my car, but have switched to an external antenna now. If you are not going to use it as a tax disc holder, its probably going to look a bit strange just stuck in the windscreen on its own - so you need to get an alternate antenna for your car kit ideally. You can get internal mount strip ones which also stick to the windscreen and are much less conspicuous ... I'd probably go for one of those as the least hassle option.

What phone kit do you have ? I assume the Nokia CARK-91 for the 6310i or similar ?
